Fort Worth Wedding Photographer

Fort Worth has a style all its own, a city with real Western roots and a lot of open country just outside it. I'm Clay Benedict, a wedding photographer based in Portales, New Mexico, and I'm now booking weddings in Fort Worth and the surrounding area. It's about a six-hour drive for me, so I'll plan to arrive the day before and be rested and ready when your day starts. Travel is included in your quote, so you don't have to worry about extra fees.

I want to be upfront: I haven't photographed weddings in Fort Worth yet. Most of my work so far has been ranch and outdoor weddings across New Mexico and Colorado. If you're planning a ranch or barn venue in the country around Fort Worth, or an outdoor ceremony with a lot of sky and a little dust on the boots, that's the kind of wedding I feel most at home at.

What I bring is a quiet, unposed approach. I'm not the photographer who runs the show. I watch for what's real: your best friend fixing your boutonniere, the moment your dad gets choked up during his toast, the two of you laughing at something only you heard. For portraits I'll give you easy direction so you feel comfortable, then let the moment take over. Texas summers are hot, so I'll help you plan portraits for the cooler, softer light of evening.
