Graham, Texas Wedding Photographer

Small-town Texas weddings have a feel all their own. Everybody knows everybody, the reception runs late, and the setting is often a piece of land that means something to your family. I'm Clay Benedict, a wedding photographer based in Portales, New Mexico, and I'm now booking weddings in Graham and the surrounding Young County area. It's roughly a five-and-a-half-hour drive from me, and I'll come in ahead of time so I'm settled before your day begins.

I'll be straightforward with you: Graham is a new area for me, and I haven't photographed a wedding here yet. What I have done is spend years photographing ranch and outdoor weddings across New Mexico and Colorado, the kind of days where the land, the light and the people all matter equally. North Texas ranch country, with its rolling pastures, oak trees and nearby Possum Kingdom Lake, is exactly the kind of place I love to work.

Whether you're planning a ranch or barn venue, a ceremony on family property, or something near the water, I'll help you plan a timeline that makes the most of the evening light. On your wedding day I stay low-key. I don't stage moments. I notice them: your grandmother watching from the front row, the ring bearer who wanders off, the hug that lasts a little longer than expected. For portraits I give gentle direction and then let you just be together.
